2. Description of Service

HK LawGuide provides:

  • Legal document generation and analysis tools
  • Educational resources about legal procedures and rights
  • Information to help you prepare for legal consultations

  • Our service does NOT provide legal advice, representation, or establish an attorney-client relationship.

3. User Accounts and Registration

  • You must provide accurate registration information
  • You are responsible for maintaining account security
  • You must be at least 18 years old to use this service
  • One account per person; no sharing of accounts
  • We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms

4. Token System and Payments

  • Tokens are virtual credits used to access premium features
  • Token packs are non-refundable once purchased
  • Unused daily tokens from subscription plans do not roll over
  • Subscription plans renew automatically unless cancelled
  • Promo codes are for single use and cannot be combined
  • We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days notice

5. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree NOT to:

  • Use the service for illegal purposes or to solicit illegal activity
  • Attempt to reverse engineer or exploit our AI systems
  • Share, resell, or redistribute access to the service
  • Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
  • Impersonate others or provide false information
  • Abuse, harass, or spam our service or support team
  • Use the service to replace qualified legal counsel in serious matters

6. AI-Generated Content

Accuracy Disclaimer: AI-generated responses and documents are provided "as is" without warranties. While we strive for accuracy:

  • AI may occasionally produce incorrect or incomplete information
  • Legal information may become outdated as laws change
  • Generated documents require professional review before use
  • You are responsible for verifying all information

7. Intellectual Property

  • HK LawGuide platform and branding are our intellectual property
  • Content you create (questions, documents) remains yours
  • You grant us a license to process your content to provide the service
  • AI-generated documents are provided for your use without our trademark

8. Limitation of Liability

IMPORTANT: To the maximum extent permitted by Hong Kong law:

  • We are NOT liable for decisions you make based on information from our service
  • We are NOT responsible for losses arising from AI inaccuracies
  • Our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the last 12 months
  • We provide the service "as is" without warranties of any kind

You acknowledge and agree that:

  • HK LawGuide is NOT a law firm and does not provide legal advice
  • Our service does NOT replace consultation with qualified lawyers
  • For legal matters, you must consult a licensed Hong Kong solicitor or barrister

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the service at any time for violation of these terms. You may cancel your account at any time through your profile settings.

11. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Hong Kong courts.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms. We will notify users of material changes via email or service notification.
